More Hindi Words With Say, See, Stick

An important word to learn in any language is the word for toilet. In Hindi, toilet is pronounced PAK-ana.

The first syllable of PAK-ana is the English word pack. Visualize a pack. The second syllable, -ana, sounds like on a. Close your eyes and imagine a pack on something.

Now stick the image you have created, the pack, to the meaning of the Hindi word. The meaning of PAK-ana is toilet. Imagine a pack on a toilet.

It's also a good idea to know food words, such as the word for rice. In Hindi, rice is pronounced CHA-vul.

CHA-vul sounds like the English word shovel. Imagine a shovel.

It might also be helpful to know the names of creatures you might encounter, especially if they could pose a risk. One creature we will meet is the cobra. In Hindi, cobra is pronounced NAG.
